Pregnant Lady Running Alert

My very active 8-year-old nephew has been visiting this week, so I have barely had time to glance at Bloodhorse.com and the Daily Racing Form, let alone analyze any races. However, I did get notice through my Virtual Stable that one horse I have in there is running on Thursday—Sabellina, who is running while in foal. She came in fourth in her last race on June 27, the seven furlong Stage View Stakes at Belmont, which was won by another mother-to-be, Iron Goddess. On Thursday, she goes against the boys (state-breds) on turf at her optimum distance (1-1/16 mile) in the Naskra’s Breeze Stakes (race 8) at Belmont. She’s 10-1 in the morning line, so could payoff extremely well if those hormones kick in like they should!

Thanks for the information! I have a question: Often the DRF does not include all of the fractional times for a race ... is there another source? Again, thanks.

Hi Pat!

The full charts of each race available at Equibase.com do give the fractional times, but those charts are only available (for free) for a week after each race. The race fractional times are also available on past performance charts (like Brisnet.com's); for example, here is link to the chart of PP's for Saturday's Delaware Oaks: http://www.brisnet.com/bris_link/pdfs/toddpletcher_80396.pdf

Sorry Sabellina didn't win, but she did well enough against the boys for third ($3.40 to show). I missed the race, but here's the full chart summary from Equibase.com: http://www.equibase.com/static/chart/pdf/BEL071207USA8.pdf
