Keeneland Yearling Sales Addiction

Curses on you, Alan, for getting me addicted to watching the live feed of the Keeneland Yearling Sale! Nothing kills time at the office better than watching the sale. I haven’t had much time for that in the past week with meetings and first exams getting underway, but I caught up tonight in perusing the upcoming offerings as the sale winds down. Out of mere curiosity, I’ll be keeping on eye of the following:

• A half-brother to Folk (Bay Colt Hip No. 5420, by Rossini out of Polish Style, by Danzig) $9,000--WOW!
• A half-sister to It’s a Danzig (Hip. No. 3753, by Langfuhr out of Dake, by Gulch) R.N.A.

• A full-brother to Nolan’s Cat (Dark Bay or Brown Colt Hip No. 5460, by Catienus out of Single Goer, by Easy Goer)OUT.

I’ll also be watching:

• Bay Colt Hip No. 4810 (Milwaukee Brew), who is the first foal out of 2003 champion Canadian filly Too Late Now (Raj Waki)$30,000.
• Dark Bay or Brown Filly Hip No. 3836 (Congaree out of In Truth, by Quiet American); her dam is a half-sister to G3 winning Hot Novel, who is the dam of multiple-grade 1 winning Behrens $42,000.

I don't know how many people have told me I'm insane because I can settle in and watch a horse auction for hours at a time. I watched and made notes at the Barrett's Sale in Calfiornia this year, and found Salute the Sarge, who has seen to it that I was well compensated for the time I spent watching. Thank's for putting up your notes. I'll be looking for them as well.
