Proud Mama
Oh what a fine little filly Xtra Heat has produced! Elusive Heat broke just like her mama, going straight to the lead and never looked back in winning her first-out maiden attempt at Belmont today. Desert Stormer’s daughter Sheikh’s Serenade finished 5-1/2 lengths back in second for an easy $19.00 exacta (and $13.20 quinella). How appropriate considering today’s ninth race is the Xtra Heat Handicap! As further proof that quality racemares produce quality offspring: the third-place finisher Southern Charmer is the daughter of G3 Delaware Handicap winner Power Play whose 2003 colt Vegas Play won the Maryland Juvenile championship.

Val - I watched the race today. It was an ass-kicking. She did that so easy it was almost like a workout. She's in my stable mail already. She'll be a fun one to follow.
That mare is now 3 for 3 and this one will be her 3rd stakes horse shortly. Her brother X Rated Cat runs on Wednesday at Philadelphia Park. Go Xtra Heat!!
Duly noted (and added to my stable too)!
Elusive Heat was amazing in that race! I can hardly wait to see her career develop. I'll bet her mom is proud.
