After Thanksgiving Bounty

Okay, so maybe the quality of racing has tailed off dramatically as we enter the holiday season, but there were some monster after-Thanksgiving payoffs today for lucky handicappers around the country:


3rd race at Churchill, where 7-Sinister ($103.40 win) and 1-Sgt Joe ($4.60 place) formed a $2 exacta that paid $573.60.

7th race at Churchill, where 10-Risen Chief ($19.20 win) and 2-Purely Wild ($21.80 place) keyed a $2 exacta that paid $577.60.

4th race at Woodbine, where 10-Steelkilt ($16.30 win) and 8-Witness to All ($31.80 place) resulted in a $2 exactor that paid $600.90.

4th race at Penn National, where 4-Bubba’s Reprized ($11.60 win) just prevailed by a neck over 109-1 longshot 8-Star Charm ($50.40 place); the $2 exacta paid $560.40.

6th race at Penn National, where 8-Exclusive Kiwi ($75.80 win), 6-Big Irish ($8.00 place) and 7-Right Close ($18.40 show) keyed a $2 trifecta that paid $42,988.40.

10th race at Remington, where 11-Okie Maverick ($25.60 win) and 2-Kayne ($18.00) keyed a $2 exacta that paid $730.80; add in 3-Social Chief ($6.40 show) and 8-Hands Mo, and you get a $2 trifecta that paid $11,054.40, and a $1 superfecta that paid $29,725.50.

5th race at Hoosier Park, where 5-Three Elevens ($11.00 win), 1-Free Star ($19.80 place), 4-Ingles ($7.00 show) and 10-Hopefortheroses shaped a $2 superfecta that paid $35,772.

4th race at Delta Downs, where 2-Toolighttoquitlady ($39.40 win), 3-Brianna’s Princess ($3.80 place), 1-Rakatack ($11.80 show) and 5-Fischer’s Belief resulted in a $2 superfecta that paid $78,814.80.

9th race at Hawthorne, where 1A-Young Brave ($9.60 win), 1-Roaring Rex ($7.00 place), 9-Lonesome Skier ($18.60 show), and 10-Powerminded formed a $1 superfecta that paid $65,862.30.

And topping all of the above:

9th race at Golden Gate, where the $1 superfecta (9-4-7-1) paid a whopping $230,079, with 9-Turning Heads ($74.40 win), 4-Janzig Cat ($11.60 place), 7-Count Your Dreams ($3.60 show) and 1-Madear outrunning the odds-on favorite Ask Jo Jo who finished dead-last (11th).

And I will add Thursday's payoffs at Aqueduct:

1st race: Westmoreland pays $58.50 to win, topping a $276 exacta and $1,114 triple.

6th race: Accredit pays $71.50 to win, topping a $264 exacta and a whopping $3,057 triple.
